Tenn. Constable Succumbs to Wounds From Crash

A Tennessee constable involved in a crash succumbed to his injuries two weeks after the wreck.

Constable Ross Potter of Carter County's Sixth District was traveling on Highway 91 on Aug. 4 when his department vehicle left the roadway near Blue Springs Road and struck a utility pole, reports the Officer Down Memorial Page.

He remained in critical condition until passing away Aug. 19.

This is a sad loss. Talk about a dedicated man, he was 81 and still serving. A Korean War Veteran and 29 years serving his fellow citizens back home deserves the sincere thanks of everyone.

Sounds like a GREAT man. Wish I could have met him. He's watching over all of us in the law enforcement community. Rest in peace my brother.
