Michigan Trooper Crashes During Early Morning Pursuit

An 11-year-veteran of the Michigan State Police lost control of his vehicle during a high-speed pursuit this morning, and was killed in the crash.
Trooper Jeffrey Werda, 43, had responded to a pursuit at 1:30 a.m. today on Birch Run Road in Taymouth Township to help Saginaw County sheriff's deputies with the chase.
