A 22-year-old man is behind bars after Hobart-Lawrence (Wisc.) Police say he stole a squad car and tried to set it on fire.
Sonny King faces charges including recklessly endangering safety, attempted arson, and felony theft. King was arrested Wednesday at his parent's house, reports WBAY.
Earlier in the morning, Officer George Dillenberg approached a suspicious car parked near the Brown County golf course with its lights off and iced over. When officers approached the car, the driver sped off, circled back and sideswiped a cruiser.
After ending up in a ditch, King and his passengers fled on foot and King was able to enter an unlocked cruiser, which was found later with its camera and GPS unit stolen. A phone book had been set on fire in the front seat.
