Georgia Sheriff's Office Acquires Mobile Command Center

A 38-foot Mobile Command Center was purchased by the Forsyth County (Ga.) Sheriff's Office using asset forfeiture funds, and will be used in Forsyth County and neighboring areas.

The Forsyth County (Ga.) Sheriff's Office has acquired a 38-foot Mobile Command Center from Meridian Specialty Vehicles of Bozeman, Mont. The vehicle was purchased using asset forfeiture funds, and will be used in Forsyth County and neighboring areas.

Mobile command centers from Meridian Specialty Vehicles are generally equipped with emergency lighting and sirens, scene lighting, a generator and cellular or satellite Internet and telecom capabilities.

The interior of the vehicle includes a lavatory, conference room and galley. Also, the mobile command centers are climate controlled and meet technological needs with flat-screen monitors, satellite television, a PBX phone system, printer and fax.
