DUI Red-Light Runner Kills El Paso Officer, Injures Second

One El Paso police officer was killed and a second critically injured early Wednesday, when a suspected drunk driver ran a red light and struck the officers' cruiser, reports the El Paso Times.

The officers were struck by a Mercedes at about 1 a.m. Six fire trucks responded to the crash.
