Houston Officer Killed During Pursuit Not Wearing Seatbelt

The 30-year-old Houston police officer who died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash was not wearing his seatbelt, myFOX Houston reports.
When he crashed, Officer Eydelmen Mani was responding to a car chase involving a stolen vehicle. Late Tuesday, Mani was traveling on the North Freeway when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a guardrail.
His cruiser flipped onto its roof, and then landed on its wheels.
