The National Hockey League's Washington Capitals will honor police, firefighters, and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel during a special "Heroes Night" on Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m. The Capitals will face off against eastern conference rival Atlanta
Thrashers at the MCI Center in Washington, DC. All public safety employees, family members, and friends may purchase discount tickets to the game.
The event will kick off at 1 p.m. with a special hockey game between D.C. police officers and firefighters. Later that evening, fans can see a display of emergency response vehicles outside the MCI Center, as well as video tributes that will be presented throughout the game.
Tickets for the event may be purchased through the Washington Capitals Website at www.capstickets.com/hero.html. Reduced price tickets may also be purchased at the MCI Center box office by presenting a valid credential. Prices for tickets range from $15 to $30 each.
