COPS Honors Fallen Officers and Their Families

Camdenton, MO -- Law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2000 will be remembered and the families they left behind will be honored during National Police Week 2001 activities in Washington, DC, May 13-17.

Since 1985, Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) has sponsored the National Police Survivors' Seminars as part of National Police Week activities to help those surviving familes begin rebuilding their lives.

Dr. Therese A. Rando will be the keynote speaker for the seminars. She is a clinical psychologist from Warwick, RI and the Clinical Director of The Institute for the Study and Treatment of Loss.

Craig Zablocki returns as a speaker this year with his hilarious presentation demonstrating the healing effects of laughter.

In addition to the seminars, the 5th Annual Philadelphia COPS Memorial Run will depart Philadelphia on Friday, May 11, 2001, and arrive in Washington, DC, on Sunday, May 13.
