The December 2017 issue of POLICE Magazine comes with something extra, the 2018 Ford Police Vehicles Calendar. The popular calendar is produced by Ford and the parent company of POLICE, Bobit Business Media.

Each year the calendar features information on 12 law enforcement agencies and the jurisdictions they serve as well as photos of some of the officers with their Ford vehicles. The following agencies are represented in the 2018 calendar: Apple Valley (MN) Police Department, Henrico County (VA) Police Division, Kentwood (LA) Police Department, Mt. Zion (IL) Police Department, United States Border Patrol, Plant City (FL) Police Department, Northville Township (MI) Police Department, Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Findlay (OH) Police Department, Kansas City (MO) Police Department, and Bexar County (TX) Hospital District Police Department.

Ford's Natalie Olson says significantly more agencies wanted to be featured in the 2018 calendar than the 12 spots will allow. "We have received very positive feedback regarding the calendars," she says. "The Mt Zion, IL, newspaper even did a story about their police department being featured in the calendar."

Agencies wishing to be considered for the 2019 calendar should contact their Ford government account managers. Olson says Ford also receives requests at police shows and agencies can contact her at nolson1@ford.com. Selection is based on a number of criteria, including fleet size and geography. "We like to include a mix of large and small departments, and we try to include agencies from across the country," Olson explains.
