Matrox Graphics’ Extio F1400, the world’s first remote graphics unit. With this solution, the user interface of the computer—the keyboard, mouse, monitors, audio peripherals, and graphics hardware—may be separated from the rest of the computer by up to 250 meters (820 feet) of fiber-optic cable. The product supports up to four digital or analog monitors at a time, and has passive (fanless) cooling. The unit can be used for computer-aided dispatch, security monitoring, and process control.
