The new Recon digital video recorder from Fast Forward Video (FFV) has optional USB, CF, SMPTE timecode, and serial digital interface (SDI) features for increased flexibility. The Recon DVR is an ultra-compact board-level digital video recorder. At only 2.8 inches by 3.9 inches in size, the Recon occupies the same footprint as a laptop hard drive and can record up to 40 hours of video. In addition to its ability to record video as QuickTime files for easy viewing and editing, the Recon now includes the option of a USB 2.0 port to download data directly, as well as a CompactFlash slot to record to CF cards.
