The LASH throat mic headset from Television Equipment Associates is designed for use by SWAT teams. The mic, secured around the throat with an elastic strap, picks up only voice-box vibrations so it can be used amid high ambient noise. The receive signal travels up a coiled tube to an earmold that fits inside the ear so peripheral hearing is not obstructed. The LASH mic and headset will not interfere with SCBA masks and are made to work with all portable radios.
