L-3 Mobile-Vision's PatrolScout Enables Streaming Video

May 10, 2013  |

L-3 Mobile-Vision has introduced the PatrolScout software solution that enables its Flashback digital in-car video system to support streaming video.

PatrolScout also creates situational awareness across the deployed operating fleet to enhance officer safety and improve operational effectiveness, according to the company.

L-3's PatrolScout allows a law enforcement agency to organize and display vehicles in logical patrol groups; limit and control information access; and find or track specific vehicles. It also enables personnel to remotely view a critical incident.

The system enables video to be accessed and viewed through virtually any 3G or 4G/LTE network-connected device, including office PCs, smart phones, and tablets. PatrolScout leverages the agency's existing cell infrastructure as a modular add-on to Flashback. PatrolScout was jointly developed by L-3 Mobile-Vision and L-3 Interstate Electronics Corporation.
