Bode Technology Launches Same-Day DNA Service for LE
July 06, 2012
|
Bode Technology has introduced a new DNA service allowing DNA to be used as an effective crime fighting tool through same-day DNA analysis. Bode's Same-Day DNA Service provides forensic DNA analysis and a court-ready report the same day that the forensic evidence is received at the laboratory, according to the company.
"Bode is providing a faster solution to develop profiles from biological evidence containing DNA for use early in an investigation or as last-minute support to prosecution or defense teams," said Barry Watson, Bode's CEO and president. "For the first time, investigators can learn whether evidence from crime scenes contains valuable DNA information that can be compared to persons of interest within one day."
Due to backlogs at crime laboratories, many law enforcement agencies experience delays in receiving results from DNA analysis. The Same-Day DNA Service can help attorneys facing pending court dates or investigators holding persons of interest accused of violent crimes for 24 to 48 hours when DNA results are needed immediately. Bode Technology is prepared to meet this need, providing its first-in-class services in a fraction of the time.
Bode's Same-Day DNA Service has been validated to meet the FBI's Quality Assurance Standards and follows ISO 17025 accreditation requirements.
