Safemobile Introduces Android Tablets That Control Digital Radios

The radioPad and radioPod were first displayed at the 2012 IWCE trade show in February in Las Vegas. The company has finalized the implementation for Motorola MOTOTRBO radios and continues to work on TETRA and P25 digital radios.

The radioPad and radioPod products are capable of securely remote-controlling the operation of hand-held, mobile and fixed digital radios via Wi-Fi circuits. It allows both voice and data between the Android tablet and any radio, offering any industry specific or customer specific graphic user interface, according to the company.

The radioPad and radioPod products are offering unparalleled access to any Android application that now can be used on a digital radio system such as credit card readers, scanners, RFID devices, biometrics, authentication, alarms, ticketing, and invoicing.

"In having developed the radioPad and radioPod Android based products, we can now provide integrated voice and data solutions to public safety organizations and various industries in order to make their activities more productive and more efficient," said Dorel Nasui, SafeMobile's president and chief executive.
