NYPD: Thefts of Smartphones and iPads More Likely Than Cash

Half of the nearly 16,000 robberies in New York City over the first 10 months of the year have involved trendy gadgets such as smartphones and iPads, according to an NYPD study.

The thieves' most wanted gadget is the iPhone, which accounts for over 70% of all stolen cell phones on subways and buses, the NYPD analysis reveals, reports the New York Daily News.
