APCO Honors Tucson Mass Shooting Dispatchers

As part of National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International will honor members of the Pima County Sheriff's Department call center for their work during the Tucson mass shooting in January.

As part of National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International will honor members of the Pima County Sheriff's Department call center for their work during the Tucson mass shooting in January.

The week, which runs from April 10-16, will include the special event at 2:30 p.m. on April 11. Call center members will be honored at the Sheriff's Operations Center, third floor, 1750 E. Benson Highway in Tucson.

Appearances will include Sheriff Clarence Dupnik; Steve O'Conor, president of the National Emergency Number Association; and Gregg Riddle, first vice president with APCO.
