NYPD to Use Cell Phone Images to Catch Bad Guys

Now New Yorkers can send images and videos from their phone to cops regarding crimes, and to 311 regarding quality of life issues.

Callers to 911 can send photos and videos to NYPD's Real Time Crime Center, where images are used to crack crimes or respond to emergencies, Mayor Bloomberg said Tuesday.
