VIDEO: N.M. Cops Fatally Shoot Suicidal Man

A suicidal man can be seen holding a gun to his own head and repeatedly ignoring an officer's command to drop the weapon in lapel video and dash-cam footage.

After shooting at his estranged wife late last month, Gary Atencio led officers on a 55-mile chase that reached speeds well over 100 mph and ended after Atencio rear-ended a semi, reports KRQE.

Officers pursued Atencio on foot. He ignored commands to drop the weapon and continued walking through a home's yard and across railroad tracks. He was then shot and killed by an Albuquerque PD SWAT officer.
