Memorial Run Honors Ga. Officer

The Savannah-Chatham (Ga.) Police Department's newest officers ran through town in the second memorial "Run to Remember" to honor fallen police officer Mark Allen MacPhail.

The newest Georgia Regional Police Academy class and the department's SWAT team members, almost 100 officers marked the spot at Ogelthorpe Avenue and Fahm Steet where MacPhail was slain while working off duty Aug. 19, 1989.
