Ex-Mall Cop Arrested After Six-Hour Standoff

A former mall security guard has been arrested after a six-hour standoff with polcie at his Salinas apartment, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
Marcos Gonzales, 28, refused to allow police into his home on Tuesday evening, when officers arrived with arrest warrants. Gonzales is suspected of making criminal threats to harm people at the mall.
After spending six hours trying to talk to Gonzales, he confronted SWAT officers at his door, and they used a TASER stun gun to apprehend him around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
