Toy AK-47 Triggers SWAT Standoff In California Town

A domestic disturbance call resulted in a tactical call-out Tuesday morning, after a woman told officers her boyfriend was barricaded in an apartment with an assault rifle, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Municipal officers responding to the dwelling in Signal Hill, Calif., then called out deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Special Enforcement Bureau. Nearby apartments were evacuated.
After the man surrendered at 4:30 p.m., officers searched the unit and found a toy AK-47.
