LCOA Composites, Inc. Announces DeadStop for Lightweight Police Shields

October 01, 2010  |

LCOA Composites, Inc., recently added another product to its arsenal with DeadStop lightweight Police shield technology, a new NIJ Level IIIA ballistic hybrid panel with multi-hit capability that can stop a .44 magnum bullet at 15 feet.

"The street is not about even odds; our law enforcement needs the best protection available," said Patrick Redfern, CEO of LCOA Composites, Inc.

DeadStop's construction enables the full-size shield, including a glass-viewing port, to be the lightest in its threat level class, weighing less than 14 pounds.

DeadStop Shields is the latest in a series of patented products LCOA Composites has introduced to the ballistic and structural composite market segments and is available exclusively through its strategic partner WinTec Security, Inc., of Houston, Texas.

WinTec Security offers the fully assembled DeadStop Shields through its distribution network and its Corporate Sponsorship Program, an extremely effective way to protect the people who protect us by lightening their burden by carrying the latest technology and the lightest shield on the planet, as well as lightening the burden on the taxpayer.
