Indiana Tactical Unit Rescues Kidnapped Bank Teller

A regional tactical unit successfully rescued a bank teller, who had offered herself as a hostage to a suspect who abducted her at knife point and held her in his apartment, the Journal Gazette reports.
Matthew Lee Prater, 32, was being held without bond in the Kosciusko County Jail in Warsaw, Ind., on kidnapping and criminal confinement charges, after abducting the teller.
After officers secured the complex, the Kosciusko City/County SWAT Team initiated negotiations with Prater, who was under the influence of alcohol. Officers then then entered the apartment, and removed Prater and the teller without incident.
