Memorial Pays Tribute to LAPD Officer Killed in Afghanistan

Officers, family and LAPD supporters on Wednesday paid tribute to Robert Cottle, the tactical officer who was killed March 24 while on Marine Reserve duty in Afghanistan, the Los Angeles Times reports.

During a private service at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles, Cottle was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
