Calif. Tactical Unit Kills Bank Robber Who Took Hostages And Shot Customers

A gunman who took hostages and shot two customers while attempting to rob a U.S. Bank branch in a rural northern California town was fatally shot and killed by SWAT officers, Fox News reports.
The shooting of the 47-year-old man by Shasta County sheriff's SWAT deputies ended a three-hour stand-off that involved the suspect dragging a female hostage into the bank vault.
