Tucson Police Department patrol units responded to the hotel when a citizen called 911 to report that armed men with body armor were forcing their way into the building.

The department then sent its SWAT and airborne units to evacuate the surrounding buildings and contact the suspects. After obtaining a search warrant, SWAT officers entered the building.

Officers found 2,000 pounds of marijuana packed in crates, body armor, an assault rifle, and several handguns, according to the department.
