The Jacksonville (Texas) Police Department's newly established SWAT unit made its first raid, arresting six suspects after a yearlong narcotics investigation, that the police chief said went off flawlessly, the Daily Progress reports.
Officers arrested two Jacksonville residents for possession and delivery of a controlled substance, as well as four others who approached a residence, even though police vehicles were parked outside and uniformed officers patrolled the area.
The agency had been using an ad hoc tactics team prior to July, when officers underwent official SWAT training.
