Kathleen O'Toole will report to work Wednesday, but it marks the beginning of the end of her two-year tenure as Boston's police commissioner. O'Toole is leaving for a job in Ireland.
O'Toole's departure is sparking mixed emotions at an uncertain time for the city. O'Toole's been on the job for 27 months and many community leaders have praised her initiatives, but at least one said there's a lot more work to be done.
