Hatch Awarded NYPD Glove Bid
April 21, 2003
|
The New York Police Department will provide its officers with as many as 10,000 pairs of FM2100 Spectra-lined, cut-resistant gloves from the Hatch Corporation. Hatch beat out two other glove manufacturers for the two-year contract with the NYPD.
Hatch designed the FM2100 glove specifically for the Department. The company’s VP of Sales and Marketing believes Hatch won the contract because of the quality of its product. “When it comes to critical pieces of police equipment such as protective gear, quality should always be a priority over price,” said Mike McCarey.
