The swab is engineered with a tip designed to conveniently and effectively collect DNA specimens from handguns, regardless of environmental conditions. It comes with a compact protective unit small enough to fit inside an officer’s gun belt or breast pocket. Unlike traditional DNA collection, the swab contains a proprietary, patent-pending buffer solution that preserves the integrity of the DNA for an extended period without the need to dry the swab.
