Z-CoiL Spring-Heeled Shoes
November 01, 2005
Although they might look funny, the creator of these shoes on springs says they can work wonders for law enforcement officers who are on their feet all day. In fact, they are said to even help people with debilitating foot, knee, back, and leg pain. And if you don’t like the futuristic look of a coil under your foot, the black seven-inch work boot comes with a covered heel so no one’s the wiser that you’re walking on a spring. Like other Z-CoiL styles, the boot features a built-in orthotic, a full inch of cushioning on the fore-foot, and the company’s signature steel shock-absorbing coil, which is enclosed in durable foam. The upper is made of full-grain leather. In addition to tennis shoes and boots, other styles, including a steel-toe shoe, are also available in both men’s and women’s sizes.
