Stater Bros. Donates $7,500 to San Bernardino PD for Purchasing and Training New Police Dog

Southern California grocery chain Stater Bros. Markets has donated $5,000 to the San Bernardino Police Department for the purchase of a police dog. In addition, the company will provide $2,500 for training the dog.

New Hampshire Planning to Merge Highway Patrol and State Police

New Hampshire Safety Commissioner John Barthelmes says he wants to transfer the state highway patrol from the state Division of Motor Vehicles to the state police. The merger would mean that the state police would gain 80 new officers.

A Sonoma County, Calif., judge has ruled a speeding case supported by an officer's radar cannot be thrown out. The speeder's GPS system allegedly recorded a speed contradictory to the radar reading, but the judge ruled radar more reliable.
