Trial Opens In Slaying of NYPD Detective

The murder trial of two men accused of killing an NYPD detective during a botched robbery began Thursday morning in Brooklyn. Prosecutor Kenneth Taub told a packed courtroom that Lamont Pride intended to kill Officer Peter Figoski to escape capture.
