Reward for Los Angeles School Officer's Shooting Bumped to $100K

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the gunman who wounded a school police officer in Woodland Hills has been increased to $100,000 with a contribution from the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL).

Miami-Dade Detectives Killed Serving Murder Warrant

Miami-Dade Police Detectives Roger Castillo and Amanda Haworth were shot and killed while serving a warrant to a man recently paroled from prison and wanted in connection to an October homicide. Castillo died at the scene, and Haworth succumbed later in surgery.
Seattle Police Officer Britt Sweeney was one of four officers honored by Safariland and inducted into their Saves Club.

Officer Jeff Stenroos, 30, was wearing a ballistic vest at the time of the incident and was conscious and talking after being shot Wednesday morning as he confronted a suspect who appeared to be breaking into vehicles near El Camino Real High School.

Arizona Man Shot After Pointing AK-47 at Deputy

After a fight with his wife, Felipe Ramirez Castellanos reportedly fired several rounds from the AK-47 at her while driving away. Deputies who stopped Castellanos as he drove away fired after he pointed the AK-47 at them from inside the vehicle. He was struck in the hip and head.
