Residents of Small South Carolina Town Rally Behind Fired Lesbian Police Chief

Last Wednesday dozens of residents picketed outside of town hall calling for Moore's job to be reinstated; Moore came by too, to thank them. Others in the town, which has a population of just over 1,400, held a prayer virgil for Moore who has served Latta for more than 20 years.

Virginia Deputy Dies During Academy Workout

A Spotsylvania County, Va., deputy died Monday after collapsing during a morning workout. Bryan Berger, 34, was a recruit at the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy and was participating in physical fitness training with his classmates.
