Survey: Majority of Americans Support Marijuana Legalization

A majority of Americans support making marijuana legal, according to a survey by the Pew Research Center. For the first time in its 40 years of polling, a majority of respondents (52%) said they would support legalizing marijuana.

A homicide suspect shot and killed a Jackson (Miss.) Police detective Thursday inside police headquarters after overpowering the officer and taking his gun. Detective Eric Smith was interviewing the suspect, when the two men began to argue.
