UC Davis Pepper Spray Officer Says He Was Fired

Lt. John Pike, a central figure in last November's pepper-spraying incident at UC Davis, is no longer employed by the university as of Tuesday. UC Davis officials declined further comment; however, Lt. Pike told the Sacramento Bee he was terminated.

Body of Missing FBI Agent Found

Hikers discovered the body of an FBI special agent who had been missing for more than two months in Burbank on Monday. Stephen Ivens, a Los Angeles-based special agent who specialized in national security, disappeared on May 10 with his service weapon.

Wis. Deputy Killed In Crash With Tow Truck

A Milwaukee County (Wis.) Sheriff's deputy died Tuesday after his agency truck struck the rear of a flatbed tow truck. Deputy Sergio Aleman was driving a sheriff's truck that provides service to disabled motorists.

The Columbia (Mo.) Police Department will soon begin taking more than half of suspects under arrest to the Boone County Jail instead of the police department. The move is in response to an August incident when former Officer Rob Sanders shoved an inmate in a holding cell.
