Texas Driver Who Struck Officer Arrested and Charged with Aggravated Assault

October 22, 2018  |

A driver—identified as 57-year-old Bonfiace Madubuko—was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a public servant after striking a Dallas officer who was working an accident scene early on Sunday.

The officer was laying down flares at the time of the incident, according to NBC News.

The driver of the Toyota Venza drove around parked patrol cars via the shoulder of the far right lane. The driver reportedly then re-entered the roadway and struck the officer.

The officer—who has not yet been named—was transported to a nearby hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

It's hard to understand the mindset of people who drive around barricades/patrol vehicles. People, they are there for a reason. Prayers for this officer's speedy recovery. JJG 38 Yr. Tx. LEO
