Texas Officer Fighting for Life After Being Shot in Head

September 14, 2018  |

A Fort Worth, TX, officer remains in critical condition Friday afternoon after he was shot in the head as police confronted a group of men while they were reportedly robbing a bar early Friday morning.

Garrett Hull, a 17-year veteran of the department, was critically wounded and the man who shot him was killed when police tried to stop the robbery, police said.

Hull, was with at least 10 other police who were conducting surveillance on a group of people suspected in a series of robberies around Fort Worth, Sgt. Chris Britt said.

The officers confronted the three male suspects who fled on foot after unsuccessfully trying to get into a vehicle.

At least one of the three fired at police, striking Hull in the head. The officers returned fired, fatally shooting the gunman, who was later identified as Dacion Steptoe. The two other suspects tried to flee but were captured, police told the Dallas News.

Hull, who has a wife and two daughters, was part of a task force made up of uniformed and plainclothes officers, Fitzgerald said.

The suspects in Friday's robbery were believed to be responsible for at least 15 robberies in Fort Worth and some in other cities, Fort Worth PD said.

How long before BLM starts the protests about how the police murdered this poor man who was just trying to make a living?

FLUSH THOSE TURDS. DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200.

Prayers for the officer, his family, and the community he serves.
A speedy recovery, a GOOD full pension, with all medical benefits, and a chance at putting his life back together.

WELL DONE !
