VIDEO: Colorado Officers Suspended for Leaking Video of Man's Traffic Stop Tirade

When Aurora, CO, police pulled over a man for driving 65 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone, they probably didn't know that the driver was the son of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. But in an expletive-filled roadside tirade, 22-year-old Jordan Hancock made them fully aware of the relationship.

The entire interaction was captured on the body-worn camera affixed to Officer Paul McClendon's uniform.

According to Fox News, McClendon showed the video to Officer Paul Timmons, who recorded it with his cellphone and shared it with Officer Judy Gurley-Lutkin.

Now, Timmons and Gurley-Lutkin have each received a one-day suspension for the video being leaked.

So let me get this straight, this thug broke the law then show his a$&, and now officers are suspended because it’s the mayors son? If I was the mayor the only thing that would happen would be getting my foot out of my son’s a$&, because it would be so far up his a&@ he could open his mouth and tie my shoe strings!!

What a calouse A-Hole this kid is! The police chief must be scared to death of the mayor which is BS! Damned kid pulled the I am important card on the situation which his father should take him out behind the woodshed but we know that will never happen.

mark @ 8/23/2018 4:46 PM

One day suspension is worth showing the Mayor has a dirtbag so.

mark @ 8/23/2018 4:47 PM

One day is ok to show the Mayor had dirtbag son

Rich @ 8/23/2018 5:27 PM

I would take a day for that.

Ron Martinelli @ 8/23/2018 6:12 PM

What total BS. Pawn chief of the mayor and his a-hole thug son. A DOC or LOR at worst. No one would have believed the officers' version of events. Vote that mayor out of office and dump that cowardly chief next.

HRPufnstuf @ 8/23/2018 6:40 PM

I'd happily take 3 days off to share that!

David L. Cook @ 8/23/2018 7:10 PM

I understand why they did it but it wasn’t their information to release. They knew there would be consequences for their actions if they were caught. I assume that they feel like it was worth it.

Mickey @ 8/23/2018 10:42 PM

"OK chief, the suspension is worth it. And don't worry, ill make sure that durring the next election this is used agaisnt the mayor. Hope you got another job lined up."

John @ 8/24/2018 12:43 AM

It wasn't even in Denver, where this kids father is mayor, it was in a suburb.
Suspending these officers over this is just giving this little whining brat a victory over the big, bad cops who should have been shaking in their boots over who his father was and how powerful he is. This is the wrong message to send, but that's why so many officers are leaving LE or just doing the bare minimum. Most officers know that their administration doesn't have their back.

ssc1911 @ 8/24/2018 6:14 AM

What an arrogant POS who gave this officer a hard time. Using the privilege of his father's position to berate the officer. Undfortunately there is and has ben a lack of respect for and towards law enforcement. The officer had probable cause to stop this driver for exceeding the posted speed limit. Jordan Hancock needs to have his attitude adjusted. He needs to understand thast he isn't above the law, his father is the Mayor in Denver, not Aurora. Jordan Hancock was being a real ass here . I agree with theorther commetns posted here about taking this knucklehead behind the woodshed. Also some of the Ferguson Effect here as well.

STC @ 8/24/2018 8:18 AM

Wait a minute! This has to be the same incident from several months ago. The mayor-father of the thug driver issued an apology on behalf of his POS son. The father said he was sorry for the behavior and and he would talk to him. It makes you wonder where the thug son learned such behavior. The old adage of the apple not falling far from the tree comes to mind.

Steve Nemeth @ 9/10/2018 4:34 AM

Of course they suspended the officers, we wouldn't want it to leak and show why officers have so much difficulty with dealing with people on the street. It would also take away from the "Black Lives" matters theme.
