Illinois Officer Pulls Suspects from Vehicle After Fiery Pursuit Crash

A Danville, IL, police officer rescued suspects and a passenger from a burning vehicle following a pursuit crash Saturday.

Three of four people in the vehicle were arrested and charged with weapons violations after they led a chase with Danville police.

The chase started Saturday around 6 p.m. when an officer saw the vehicle commit a traffic violation near Stroup St. and Main St. When he tried to stop the vehicle, the driver sped away.

The officer chased the vehicle to Main and Kansas streets where the driver lost control and hit a utility pole, WAND TV reports.
