Minnesota Cop Killer Released to Halfway House

July 12, 2018  |

The man convicted of killing Minneapolis Police Officer Richard Miller in 1981 has been released from jail and sent to a halfway house as part of a work-release program.

Isaac Brown — who was suspected of auto theft when Officer Miller encountered him — used a stolen police revolver to shoot Miller several times in the chest.

Former Minneapolis Police Chief Tony Bouza told WCCO-TV, "If he has rehabilitated himself and confronted his crime, and admitted it and acknowledged it, he ought to be released because justice ought to be tempered with mercy."

Brown had served 37 years behind bars.

As in similar releases, when Officer MIller walks out of his grave, this killer can walk out of jail.

"Mercy?" The man killed a police officer. Where is the mercy for his family?
This is a perfect example why LEOs autta just give up and walk off of the job in that city and state. Every one of them should not show up to all shifts. When a cop killer gets away with killing a cop, he/she will kill anyone. When other criminals see this, they too will know that they will be free to kill.

Fine, he can stay at the parole board members homes. They can take turns having him stay with their families. If that were the law, how many murderers do you think they'd release? If it's good enough for the public at large, it's good enough for every parole board in this country. These people should be held criminally and civilly liable for any further crimes of ANY KIND, that this sub-human scum commits!

How sad, Minnesota is becoming as foolish and self-destructive as California, Illinois and New York...these young progressives think their creating a new, better world, well it'll be just a matter of t8ime before it comes back to bite them. As to former Chief's Bouza's remarks, well how much mercy did this person show Officer Miller as he fired round and round into him? To slightly modify an earlier comment, maybe we should arrange for Bouza to house and monitor him...
