A shooting on Saturday night in a San Diego condominium complex left two police officers wounded and the gunman dead, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

Officers were responding to a disturbance call and were met with gunfire upon reaching the door. Officers returned fire, but it was not immediately clear if the gunman died in the shootout or killed himself.

Police Chief David Nisleit said that Sunday morning the officers are expected to fully recover from their injuries.
