Suspect Accused of Burning Deputy’s Body After Killing Him

June 08, 2018  |

A man charged with premeditated murder in the shooting death of Dickson County (TN) Sheriff's Sergeant Daniel Baker is also now accused of trying to impersonate him and burning his body and vehicle.

Steven Joshua Wiggins has been arraigned on federal and state charges that could be punishable by death, according to U.S. News.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said after the arraignment hearing that federal charges against Wiggins include carjacking, shooting a gun while committing a violent crime, having that crime result in death, and being a convicted felon with a gun.

“At the Department of Justice, we back the women and men in blue. Violence against law enforcement officers — federal, state, local or tribal — will not be tolerated,” Sessions said in a joint announcement with U.S. Attorney Donald Cochran.

This Wiggins needs the needle in his arm and the sooner the better but I know that is only a dream. Attorneys will proclaim him a poor misunderstood soul who should be given treatment and lots of pills. Hogwash!!!!!!

I agree Retired LEO!! If not, hopefully a few inmates will befriend him. Many Thanks Law Enforcement, and military for your sacrifice, and everything you do.

In today's world there are a lot of words and phrases that many of us grew up hearing, that we just don't hear anymore, and that's a shame...in this person's case the phrase we should be hearing is "and you shall be hung by the neck until dead"...where's Judge Roy when you need him?
