3 Wisconsin Officers Treated for Fentanyl Exposure

May 28, 2018  |

Two Greendale police officers and a Milwaukee police officer were treated for exposure to fentanyl Friday in two separate incidents.

Greendale police were called to Southridge Mall around 7 p.m. Friday for a possible retail theft.

Officers said they spotted a man and a woman in a stolen vehicle in the parking lot. While searching that vehicle, officers say they removed a purse that had an unknown substance in it. One officer began feeling ill while still on the scene, the other showed symptoms back at the station. They were both given Narcan and taken to the hospital as a precaution. Both have since been released, WISN reports.

The Milwaukee police officer was exposed to fentanyl on the city's south side after arresting a person that had the drug, police said.

The officer was was treated and is expected to return to duty in the coming days, police said.

This Fentanyl is bad dangerous crap. Too bad it can't be made to affect only the morons using it and not endanger the first responders who get called to help the hopeless buttheads that use it.
