Ohio Deputy Shot in Abdomen Released from Hospital

Deputy Jacob Heaberlin, 29, was escorted home by deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Columbus Division of Police.

A Franklin County (OH) Sheriff’s Office deputy shot in the line of duty earlier this month has been released from Grant Medical Center, reports 10tv.com.

Deputy Jacob Heaberlin, 29, was escorted home by deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Columbus Division of Police.

Heaberlin, a seven-year veteran of the agency, was shot in his abdomen, just below his protective vest, after he pulled over a suspect who opened fire.
