Law Enforcement Task Force Arrests 310 Fugitives in Arizona

Federal agents and local police executed 341 search warrants for felony crimes, including homicide, robbery, sexual assault, dangerous drugs and aggravated assault, officials said.

Law enforcement agencies arrested 310 fugitives in Arizona last month as part of a joint effort, the U.S Justice Department said.

The April initiative, dubbed "Operation Justice 2018,'' included 16 agencies from Maricopa and Pinal counties, which collaborated to arrest violent criminals and gang members primarily in the Phoenix metro area, according to a Justice Department news release, reports the Arizona Republic.

Federal agents and local police executed 341 search warrants for felony crimes, including homicide, robbery, sexual assault, dangerous drugs and aggravated assault, officials said.

"These task forces allow us to use the newest techniques and technologies to locate them and ensure the information is shared through all levels of law enforcement,'' said Police Chief Jeri Williams. "Working together benefits all departments but most importantly our victims."
