WV Trooper, Deputy Shot Responding to Domestic

WVSP say Trooper Hartley and Deputy King responded to a residence and were met by shotgun fire when they approached the front door.

A West Virginia State Police trooper and a Roane County Sheriff's deputy were hit by gunfire responding to a domestic violence call Wednesday night, authorities report.

Trooper Zachary Hartley and Deputy Mike King received minor injuries after WVSP say they were struck in some fashion by buck shot.

Stanley Hoskins Jr., 52, of Gandeeville, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and malicious wounding, WSAZ TV reports.
