Suspect Wounded in Gunfight with Orlando Bicycle Officer

An armed person was shot and wounded after firing gunshots at an Orlando bike patrol officer early Monday, police said.

An armed person was shot and wounded after firing gunshots at an Orlando bike patrol officer early Monday, police said. 

The shooting was reported around 2:30 a.m.

Orlando police chief John Mina WESH TV the armed man, Dracarris Hill, 23, began firing shots after coming into contact with the officer. 

The officer was not injured. 

Hill was found nearby with a non life-threatening injury, police said. He faces a charge of attempted murder of a law enforcement agency.
